Refund Policy

InboxChange is a Software-as-a-Service product. We don't ship physical goods, so this is not a traditional return policy. It's a clear statement of when you're entitled to a refund and how we process it. We err on the side of being fair — if something genuinely went wrong, we'll make it right.

When refunds apply

We refund in three scenarios: (1) within 7 days of your first paid subscription, no questions asked, for the full amount paid; (2) at any time, for a pro-rata amount on the unused portion of an annual plan if you cancel; (3) in case of a documented service outage exceeding the SLA in your subscription terms.

We do not refund: WhatsApp conversation credits or message-based usage charges you've already consumed (Meta charges us on send, we can't recover that); one-time setup or migration fees once we've completed the work; subscription fees for any period that you've actively used the product (we measure 'use' as at least one outbound message sent or one inbound message received).

First 7 days — full refund

If you signed up and paid for an InboxChange plan and within the first 7 calendar days you decide the product isn't right for you, email billing@inboxchange.com from the account-owner email address with subject 7-day refund and we'll refund your full subscription fee within 5–7 business days. We may ask one optional question about why you're leaving — only to improve the product. You don't have to answer.

Annual plans — pro-rata refund on cancellation

If you're on an annual plan and you cancel before the term ends, we refund a pro-rata amount calculated as: (months remaining ÷ 12) × annual fee paid, rounded to the nearest whole month. So if you paid ₹95,988 (Growth annual) and cancel after 5 months, you're refunded (7 ÷ 12) × ₹95,988 ≈ ₹55,993.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Razorpay (our payment processor) may take an additional 2–4 days to surface the reversal in your bank account — this is bank-specific and out of our control.

Monthly plans — no pro-rata; cancel anytime

Monthly plans aren't pro-rated when cancelled mid-month. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period (i.e., you keep what you've paid for), and we don't bill the next month. No refund is issued for the partial month if you cancel mid-cycle.

If this matters to you, switch to annual billing — it's both cheaper and more refund-friendly.

Service-outage refund (SLA)

If our uptime falls below 99.5% in any calendar month (≈ 3 hours 39 minutes of unscheduled downtime), we'll credit your account 10% of that month's subscription fee. Below 99% (≈ 7 hours 18 minutes), the credit is 25%. Below 95%, 50%. You don't need to request the credit — we apply it automatically to the next invoice.

Excluded from SLA calculations: planned maintenance windows (announced 48+ hours in advance), force-majeure events, and outages caused by Meta / Razorpay / Resend / any third-party provider we depend on. We will, however, transparently report any such outage on our status page within 24 hours.

How to request a refund

Step 1 — email billing@inboxchange.com from your account-owner email. Subject: Refund request — [your company name].

Step 2 — we acknowledge within 24 business hours and confirm the refund amount we'll process. If we disagree about the amount, we'll explain our calculation and you can dispute.

Step 3 — once you confirm, we initiate the refund via Razorpay. You'll receive the money in 5–7 business days; some banks take up to 10 working days to credit it back.

Step 4 — we email a confirmation when the refund is processed on our side. Keep that email — it's your receipt for tax purposes.
