Two ways to cancel
Option 1 — self-serve (recommended): log in at app.inboxchange.com → Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. One click, immediate effect. You'll see a confirmation screen and an email lands within a minute.
Option 2 — email: write to billing@inboxchange.com from your account-owner email. Subject: Cancel subscription — [your company name]. We acknowledge within 24 business hours and process the cancellation the same day.
When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to InboxChange — broadcasts, inbox, templates, analytics — until that date. You're not charged for any future periods.
For monthly subscribers: if you cancel on the 12th and your monthly cycle ends on the 28th, you have access through the 28th. No more charges after that.
For annual subscribers: cancellation is the same — access through end-of-term — but you can also request a pro-rata refund for unused months. See our Refund Policy.
What happens to your data
On the day your subscription ends, your account moves to read-only mode for 30 days. You can still log in, view past broadcasts, export contact CSVs, download invoices — but you cannot send new messages or make changes. This gives you time to migrate without rushing.
After 30 days of read-only, the account is automatically queued for deletion. We email the account-owner 7 days before deletion as a final warning. Deletion is irreversible and permanent — see our Data Deletion page for details on what's removed.
If you change your mind during the 30-day read-only window, just email billing@inboxchange.com and we'll reactivate the subscription. Charges resume from the date of reactivation; no fee for the gap.
Your WhatsApp Business Account stays yours
Cancelling InboxChange does not cancel your WhatsApp Business Account with Meta. Your WABA, your phone number, your approved templates, your business verification — all remain with you under your Meta Business Manager. We simply lose our access token to it on the day cancellation takes effect.
If you want to migrate to a different platform (Wati / AiSensy / your own integration), your existing WABA can be re-connected to that platform without any Meta-side rework. We support clean handoffs — email us and we'll coordinate the timing.
Outstanding invoices
Any invoice you've already received remains payable, even after cancellation. If you cancel mid-month, you still owe the month you're cancelling (you got the service for that period). We'll send a final invoice within 3 business days of cancellation.
If your account has consumed WhatsApp / SMS conversation credits beyond your plan's included amount, those overage charges are billed in the final invoice at the rates shown on the pricing page when you signed up.
Cases where no refund is owed on cancellation
Cancellation doesn't automatically entitle you to a refund. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy — in short: yes for first-7-day cancellations, yes pro-rata for annual plans, no for already-used monthly periods or already-consumed usage credits.
